Legal / Sales

Terms of Sale

These standalone terms apply whenever you purchase a digital photograph from Wide Frame Photography.

Effective 5 August 2026

1. Purchase And Agreement

  1. 1.1All purchases are final once payment is completed, except where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law.
  2. 1.2By completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms of Sale, the Refund Policy, the Privacy Policy, and the Terms of Service.
  3. 1.3You are responsible for checking your selected photographs, licence, price, and contact email before paying.

2. What You Are Buying

  1. 2.1A purchase gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal use. Copyright and ownership remain with Wide Frame Photography and the photographer.
  2. 2.2You may download, securely store, and print the purchased photograph for your own personal use.
  3. 2.3You may not sell, sublicense, redistribute, publish, upload, share, give away, or claim that you own, created, or photographed the image.
  4. 2.4You must not share a secure download link, access token, purchased file, or other means of obtaining the photograph. Contact us if you believe a link has been exposed.

3. No Alteration Or AI Use

  1. 3.1You may not edit, crop, recolour, retouch, composite, filter, or otherwise alter a purchased photograph unless we have given prior written permission.
  2. 3.2You may not remove, obscure, or change a watermark, copyright notice, metadata, signature, or other rights-management information.
  3. 3.3You may not use generative AI, image-to-image tools, photo-editing software, or any other process to regenerate, imitate, transform, or create a derivative work from a photograph.

4. Personal Use Only

  1. 4.1Personal-use purchases may not be used for advertising, marketing, sponsorship, merchandise, publication, promotion, fundraising, training data, or any other commercial or organisational purpose.
  2. 4.2This restriction applies to businesses, agencies, clubs, charities, schools, teams, event organisers, creators, and other for-profit or nonprofit organisations, whether the use is paid or unpaid.
  3. 4.3Posting a purchased photograph to a public or organisational social-media account is not permitted unless a separate written licence expressly allows it.
  4. 4.4Unauthorised commercial or organisational use may result in removal requests, suspension of download access, a demand for the applicable commercial licence fee, and recovery of losses and reasonable enforcement costs where permitted by law. Payment of a fee after unauthorised use does not itself grant a licence.

5. Bundles, Deals And Promotion Codes

  1. 5.1Bundle prices, automatic deals, sale prices, and promotion codes apply only when their displayed eligibility rules are met and while the offer remains active.
  2. 5.2Offers cannot be exchanged for cash, combined, transferred, or applied retrospectively unless the offer expressly says otherwise.
  3. 5.3If a bundle is changed, becomes ineligible, or a promotion code is invalid or expired, the checkout will recalculate the current price before payment.
  4. 5.4We may correct an obvious pricing or technical error before accepting payment. After payment, your receipt records the accepted items, discounts, currency, and total.

6. Unauthorised Access And Copyright

  1. 6.1Photographs displayed on the site are protected by copyright even when technical controls, previews, or watermarks can be bypassed.
  2. 6.2Accessing, copying, scraping, saving, or distributing a paid photograph without purchasing or obtaining written permission is prohibited.
  3. 6.3We may revoke access, preserve evidence, send platform takedown notices, and pursue injunctions, damages, account of profits, or other remedies available under law for infringement or misuse.

7. Problems With A Purchase

If you believe we have made a mistake or treated you unfairly, email legal@wideframe.photography with your order number, the email used at checkout, and a clear description of the issue. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
